Outing to Valley United Methodist Church

Residents in The Gardens our Memory Care neighborhood, had the opportunity to visit Valley United Methodist Church where they had on display over 200 different nativity scenes. The group could not believe how beautiful it all was. They definitely want to return next year.

Blanket Drive for the Homeless

In November we did a blanket drive for the Des Moines Homeless Shelter. We collected 60 blankets in total! The residents in the Health Care Center made four fleece blankets. The residents really enjoyed making the blankets and kept asking for more to do after each one was done. The residents made one blanket in an hour!
